A velvety pastel portrait is a unique way to immortalise your companion that will stay with you for a lifetime, and beyond. For most of us, animals are an important
part of our family life. Unconditional loyalty and love is instinctive in many of our furry friends.
The soft texture of pastel lends itself beautifully to pet portraiture, and when framed professionally will last for a lifetime. My
portraits are not intended to be a photograph but my interpretation of the subject which I endeavour to create as lifelike as possible.
Unless specifically requested I prefer to maintain the subject as 'life-size' as possible (little pets look a little silly oversized and
big pets painted too small spoils their nobility).

The key element of my portraits is 'acid-free products' which indicates correct conservation and endurance of the work.
All portraits are completed with premium quality pastels, i.e. Schmincke,
Rembrandt and Art Spectrum on premium acid-free
pastel paper which aids in the correct conservation of the art work.
