Prices for a Pet Portrait

Small Pets – $300
(Chihuahuas, Small Cats, Jack Russell Terriers, etc.)

Medium Pets – $350
(Kelpies, Large Cats, Staffordshires, Cavaliers, Blue Heelers, etc.)

Large Pets – $400
(Labradors, Boxers, Shepherds, Setters, Rottweilers, Cattle, Horses, etc.)

All prices include:

  • Triple matts (which allows more space between the glass and the work, creating ideal air flow).
  • Clear glass (non-reflective glass is acid treated and is thus detrimental to the conservation of the work).
  • A 'name' or 'title window' (if requested).
  • A choice of timber, mottled gold or silver, or coloured frame.

Postage/Packaging
Postage and packaging is extra and depends on the delivery address. Where possible I prefer to arrange personal delivery/collection and this can be discussed at the time of order.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required before work can commence (to ensure sincerity of orders). Where possible I will send a photo of my work via e-mail for your scrutiny and approval and the balance is to be paid before taking it to the framer. Payment can be made by cheque, money order, direct deposit, internet banking or in person with cash. Sorry, no credit cards.

All portraits are sold fully framed by a master framer and the frame is guaranteed for 15 years, but will last a lifetime. My framer consistently produces quality frames and I am happy to leave this part of the process to the professional.

I have never had a frame that I, or the client, weren't happy with, however, where possible, you are welcome to be part of the selection process.

Lying the painting flat preventing it from being knocked is ideal (something which can't be guaranteed with commercial carriers).

Personal delivery also reduces cost. "I love to see your face when it is delivered!"

How Long Will It Take?
Depending on my workload, the average time to complete a large size portrait (fully framed) is 3-4 weeks from time of receipt of deposit. Smaller works are slightly less.

To avoid disappointment please allow 8-10 weeks at peak times, such as Christmas, Father's Day and Mother's Day.
